It is one of the aims of the society, to preserve as much photographic and documentary history as possible, concerning the Elswick area.
Original historical documents and photographs are being collected and
archived, together with digital copies for the benefit of future generations.

Census,
Burial, MI's & Baptism Records - The
society can provide from it's records
and database, details of
inhabitants and other historical information for

Elswick/Thistleton/Copp/Roseacre/Wharles
Treales/Inskip
& Great Eccleston for the
years 1841 to 1891 and some later years.
Also available are church-burial
records for several churches in the
area, some dating back to the 1500's
The Society's
records also contain baptisms at Elswick from 1717 to 1759;
these
are taken from the unique handwritten records
of the minister of the time - Robert
Moss - who served at the chapel in
Elswick during this period. The
burial record and memorial inscriptions for Elswick United Reformed church is available for
